Small businesses employ 70 per cent of Canadians. They are an excellent way to increase the city`s attractability, stimulate local employment and ease the tax burden off of the tax payer.
The current lack of small business in Chestermere is alarming. Our city has 5 times less business then any local municipality, while being the fastest growing city in Alberta. To keep our city affordable and thriving, introducing new small and medium sized businesses is not an option- it is an urgent necessity. As your Councillor, implementing new strategies to attract new business to our community will be amongst my top priorities.
With new business developments I want families in Chestermere to pay less tax, have more services available to them, and have multiple opportunities for local employment.
